When class first starts, do we have to go to discussions?

<p>The way my schedule works, I have to go to a discussion class on the first day, before the lecture class actually starts. So do we still go to the discussion class or do we skip it until after the first lecture?</p>

<p>In most cases you don’t have to (professors/TA will email you letting you know). I would go just to be safe if they don’t email you.</p>

<p>The TA may use the first session to go over all of the course housekeeping chores- homework and quiz schedules, other useful info. Go unless told it’s cancelled. They can then jump right into the subject matter after the first lecture.</p>
