come one, come all and share.

Freshman year, when my dad said, "you have three options: Princeton, Stanford, or disownment."

It's funny because you think I am kidding.

when i found college confidential and realized how many really good students there were out there and that I would have to go head to head vs them...

When I started having fights with my mom over what I should major in college. She seems to have given in a little, though I don't think she did yet, since she still hints at premedicine.

Haha, Smoke&Mirrors, my mom said something similar too, only it was "Georgetown, NYU or Open door state U." To her, those are the only good colleges. Places like Lehigh and Tufts aren't good to her because they aren't famous. I agree with the NYU part, but not with anything else.

For me, it was the 6th week or so of Freshman year when I had my first meeting with my high school guidance counselor. it is so unhealthy but oh well.

about a month after most of my apps were due.

And no, I'm not joking. -_-;

After sending my apps in. Not knowing anything about where I stand, I keep finding myself surfing the threads at college confidential....college-related coversation is as close to mail from colleges that I can get right now.

soumanyon: That definitely happened to me. As soon as I'd submitted my apps, I realized that I did a terrible job with picking schools and I have no idea what I was thinking.

when i saw a picture of the quad at stanford and realized i wanted to go there more than anything in the world

Around elementary school. Yeah, I'm sick.

the end of sophomore year when i started spending an ungodly amount of time at borders looking through the fiske guide to colleges

Freshman year. Can't remember exactly what sparked it.

When I watched a beautiful mind.

When I found this forum

When I realized it was my only way out of here ~ fall of senior year.

A Beautiful Mind is one of my top 3 favorite movies... I watched it three times and wrote a lengthy critique of the movie for my English Composition 3 class at UCLA. Got an A+, too.

I'm not obsessed........not in any way.

ALWAYS! no jk ive been obsessed since forever i was in 2nd grade when i went to my first college visit(my sister graduated from hs when i was in 3rd grade i went to one college visit i was one of the impatient young kids!) I went to PACe-NYC for my first and probably my only college visit my other sister graduated from hs the same year i graduated elementry school i dont think i went to any of hers o wait i think i went to something for the college she went to! Well my oldest sister graduated from Art Institute of boston...and my other sister graduated from MArymount college of Fordham University..ive been working really hard and i think i can get into better colleges then them(eventhough Marymount is or was in a short time a great all girls school!) and AIB is connected to Lesley and is a good Art school!

this past summer (summer before senior year) when i had a huge box of college mailings to look through and a lot of time to look through them.

hazmat is just in denial. All CCers are obsessed with college.
