When did you hear back from MSU?

I submitted my MSU app about 2-3 weeks before the November 1st deadline. My question is how long did it take for some people to hear back from them? Its my top school and I'm just really nervous as many other kids probably are! Thanks for the help!!!

Some people hear back within a few weeks, some around the end of December. I even knew a few who didn’t get their admissions til around March.

If you don’t get it back by mid-December, call them.

Good luck!

I applied online 8/31/09 and my decision was made on 10/07/09.
I received my acceptance letter in the mail on 10/13/09.
The application tracker will tell you when a decision has been made and when to
expect your letter.
Keep checking and Good luck!

They received all of my information 10/23 and made a decision 11/3 and I am waiting for the letter in the mail. So at least for me, it took less than 2 weeks to make a decision.

Received everything 10/13.
Decision made 10/20. Accepted. :)

They received everything from me in the last week of September, made a decision on October 7th. However, one of my really good friends sent in everything the same week as I did and she still has not heard - so it’s not just you! Good luck!

thank you guys so much!! the website just told me that they sent my letter as of friday!!! gosh im excited!

if your decision letter is sent out around now…is that a good sign or a bad sign? I thought it could mean that they really want you so they sent “yeses” out first…orrrr could it be that they want to weed out the cruddy kids first? eeek! im just nervous

im sorry im posting so much! i just wanna know my chances

I’d say toss up. Lower ACT and GPA, but very nice ECs and course rigor. Do you happen to know your rank? Because for all we know, a 3.3 might be very good in your IB school. (Does that make sense?)

ohh yess! im in the higher % of kids in IB…i would not be able to remember my class rank sadly

I checked my app status today and the page says a decision was made on Friday, so hopefully I’ll get it in the mail this week. I’m OOS (NJ), 3.9 GPA weighted (like a 3.6, 3.7 unweighted I think), 2080 SAT (since they only take best sitting, but my superscore is 2180) 9 APs, solid ECs.

Good luck everyone!
