I started looking in the end of Sophomore year. I suggest that you start visiting ASAP because that made me hate a lot of schools that I thought I would love

I started thinking about it sophomore year, but my list really started to come together first semester of this year, when all my senior friends were applying. It got me excited.

Yeah, I think it’s important to look at some colleges.
I went on a college visit roadtrip with my brother and my parents during spring break of his sophmore year… and he didn’t end up applying to (I think) all of the colleges (3) that we visited.

I started looking at colleges in 8th grade with my sister who was a junior at the time. My current list looks as such (I’m a rising junior):

Penn

Columbia, Northwestern, NYU, William & Mary, Dartmouth, Georgetown

SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Buffalo

(I’m thinking about majoring in neuroscience, my second choice is philosophy)

I started making lists in 7th grade…yes, I have no life.

I’ve been making lists for as long as I can remember. My sister is five years older than I am and she started looking in her Junior year, so I was… ten or eleven when I started?

I have been off/on interested in UPenn and Columbia (both of which I am no longer interested in). I have been “seriously” considering colleges since early in my junior year. These are the schools I’ve been looking at, with my current “will DEFINITELY apply to” starred:

Yale
WUSTL*
George Washington*
American*
Boston University
UPitt
UMD College Park
Virginia Commonwealth University

At the beginning of this year (I’m a junior)

I had to make a list of this for Education Applications (we basically talk about what we’re going to do after high school)… my list, in no particular order:

University of Chicago
Stanford
U of I, Urbana Champaign
Brown
Cornell
Northwestern
Yale
Harvard

I’m skeptical of this whole “Oh I fell in love” mantra that’s almost nauseatingly pervasive here, but let’s just say I haven’t really looked much into schools, but ideally, the top ivy leagues (HYPS) would be ideal for me due to financial aid. Emphasis: ideal. We’ll see what happens my junior year.

Up until about 9th grade, i just figured i’d get into UCLA and go there beacause everyone on my moms side went there. However, soon after realizing a 3.4 is a MAJOR MAJOR reach for UCLA, i started to look elsewhere.
