<p>I'm currently a sophomore and I've taken the SATs twice. Didn't do as well on them, but I want to seriously start studying soon. When did you guys start studying? Am I starting too late?</p>
<p>Also, what book should I use to study for the PSAT? Will the regular CollegeBoard book on the SATs work or should I actually go buy one on the PSAT?</p>
<p>Starting too late? Are you kidding? O<strong>o You're still a sophomore, you have PLENTY of time! I wish I started early like you - I'm a senior and I'm taking my second SATs this November. =</strong>=;</p>
<p>I think the regular Collegeboard Book will work just fine if you're studying for the PSATs. I bought CB's book awhile after I took my first PSATs in junior year, and there were a lot of Math questions on my PSAT that looked similar to the questions found in CB's practice tests.</p>

<p>i didnt study at all but i still got an 1850 somehow. im taking them again in october and i just started studying. so thats the procrastinator's point of view.</p>

<p>I just started junior year and I'm actually started to study seriously. Last year I studied everyday for maybe a month until summer came around so I stopped. But I have to do well in this this year.</p>

<p>i started studying summer of freshman year, entering sophmore year.</p>
<p>but really the place I went to was absolute garbage. i got a little practice but my scores stayed the same because the people were so disorganized and had no idea how to teach. i would go sometimes and they wouldn't even be there so i would just sit there for 2 hours until my mom came to pick me up.</p>
<p>I recommend you start studying June/July of your sophomore summer all the way up to October of your Junior year and take the SAT. This way, you can guarantee national merit finalist when you do PSAT junior year as well as save time to do other stuffs junior year summer. </p>
<p>I got a 2060 on the June SAT for my Junior year. Had to study soooo much over the summer, but I got a 2370 on this year's October SAT. If there's one thing I wished I could have gone back and done, it would have been putting in the effort during my sophomore year summer instead of screwing around -_-.</p>
<p>Also, go spend 65 bucks on the SAT online course and print out all the tests on there (they give you 7 including the pretest). With these tests + the 8 from the blue book, you should be set. It is very efficient and important that you focus on using these collegeboard tests since they are very similar to the SAT.</p>
