When in your HS career did you honestly start worrying about college admissions?
For me, it was the day after the March NEW Sat (March of my Jr Year), when my friend linked me to this fricken forum.

9th grade...when i found this forum also

start of 10th. then i got into this weird zone and forgot. picked up again summer leading into 11th. here i am.

lol, YEAH, this forum had a lot to do with it. I'd say beggining of 11th, but not seriously until this summer.

10th grade, when my dad took me on a college visit to SMU "for practice".

After the march SAT I wanted to check how I did so I searched and found this forum. This forum has got me thinking about college admissions... but thinking would be an understatement... more of obsessed....

I didn't start to actually worry about admissions until I started filling out applications last week. However, I have already been admitted to one of my safeties, so it's okay, and since I'm not applying to Ivies, I'm still not all that worried. In fact, I'm really only worried that I'm filling out something incorrectly. Nevertheless, I started thinking about colleges and majors and where I want to go in about 7th grade, though my plans have changed considerably since then.

Early Sophomore year I was looking online at colleges, and by the end of Sophomore year, I was already visiting them.

near the end of my 10th grade year (going into 12th now)

late sophomore...too late for me :(

middle of my sophomore year--this past winter. (i joined in february, apparently.)

summer after 10th grade, really.

iwantfood...too late for you?

ya, I didn't really care about school (although I miraculously maintained a decent but not spectacular average) until late sophomore...I didn't really join any clubs, or do any volunteer(actually none outside of school) because my school really didn't stimulate me enough (IT HAS 1 CLUB)... plus I didn't do anythign my freshman-to-sophomore summer

Now that I've started to care, it seems like I wasted a year and a half of my life...I didn't mean to sound like one of those kids who frequent CC when they are in elementary school

I'd say about the middle of sophomore year, after I got my first PSAT results back

summer before high school .. found this site .. and I asked some kids what I should be doing.
Most said to take it easy, things will fall in their plan naturally
I didn't really understand much at the time anyway .. like I remember how I had no idea what a GPA was
Then I completely forgot about the site until about Febuary of this year (sophomore year) cuz I found another girl at my school who went on the site every now and then
And ever since .. I've been here.

Pretty much never. I was planning to go to Ohio State, and applied to MIT and Harvard for fun. I ended up getting into MIT, and there went the whole Ohio State thing...

It was nice, though, because I wasn't concerned at all about getting in. I wish I could be that relaxed now, as I'm applying to grad school.

The summer after 10th grade a friend of mine got me all hyped up (lol) and so I was researching schools blablabla, and spent a lot of time on the PR website (never on the discussion board though, didn't even know that existed) and through google I ended up here. I freaked out, and logged on all the time (even when I went to London and Paris, shame shame) and then when junior year started I didn't have time to get into it or worry about it. So I'd post every now and then, but now I'm back with a vengeance. I'm actually grateful to this site for making me a least very aware of the process. I feel like I can really put my best foot forward now.

I've forgotten when I started thinking about college... but ever since I discovered College Confidential, I've been hyped about the whole thing.

Another comment, it seems that I've been wasting/wisely spending a lot of my time on these forums... Does this happen to you guys? It seems that the only reason I use the computer is for this now...

So am I the only freshman here? <hides></hides>
