When did you submit your housing app to get your top choice dorm?

<p>I found a potential roommate, and I know USC averages the two dates applications were submitted for roommates to determine priority. I applied in early February so I know I have a great chance of getting my top choice (Birnkrant double), however I'm a bit worried since my potential roommate applied in mid-April. So that makes our average date somewhere around March 20th. I'd like to know if there's a pretty good chance of getting a BK double with that date.</p>

<p>Can current students comment on when they submitted their applications and whether they got their top choice? Preferably if you live in BK, but if you live elsewhere any information would help not just me but other '14 Trojans as well :)</p>

<p>The February date should get you the dorm you want. Late March might not. Do you prefer to be in Birnkrant with or without the potential roommate, or do you prefer to be with that roommate with or without Birnkrant?</p>

<p>Another question to add to this: I applied for new/north in mid-march, so when they assign me a roommate, could/would they pair me with someone who applied on April 30th effectively ruining my chances at my first choice?</p>

<p>No, you will get your housing assignment based on when you put it your application unless YOU choose to be paired up with a particular roommate.</p>

<p>i submitted mine on 2/2, and my roommate submitted his on 3/24… giving us an average date of 2/27… chances of getting a triple?</p>

<p>I think your chances are high, Arctic. 2/27 is before the 2nd wave of acceptances came out, so I believe you’re good.</p>

<p>Does Parkside A&H get filled up quickly? I submitted mine 3/11, and I’m not too sure if that’s considered late or not.</p>

i’m not entirely sure, but 3/16 MAY be early enough to still get a triple. i went to Explore on march 2nd, and one girl in a triple told me she didn’t apply until after Explore and still got it. but 3/16 should be good for a double.</p>

<p>@theblackmamba24 People were notified in about 3 waves. The first late February (I think?), the second mid March, and then April.</p>
