When do Colleges begin releasing Essay topics?

<p>I want to get started on writing them this summer, do you know if they will release them this early?</p>

<p>I know UM already revealed their new ones. Should I just focus on the common essay?</p>

<p>I seem to remember most if not all the topics (for the Common App supplements) being released by August.</p>

<p>On the Common App's website, it says that all topics will stay the same for the 08-09 application year. If you are applying to schools that only use the common app, then you can get started on those essays already.</p>

I had read it to refer to current essays, but perhaps you are correct. I do know that 2 of the three short essay topics are the same as the 2006 app requirements.</p>
