I was just wondering when colleges see your AP scores? I'm quite confused on this (even though I will have taken 13 AP exams by end of senior year, I'm a junior right now). Do u send these scores before your applying and do admissions committees see them or do colleges look at them after you have been accepted (to determine credit)? Thanks

The colleges receive the scores on July 1st. If you have an open application/acceptance, they add the scores to your file. If you don’t they start a file for you, and don’t look at them until you apply. How the college uses them for admissions depends on the college. The best source for that information would be the admissions office of your college of interest.

In general, you usually just self-report AP scores for use in admissions (which I personally don’t think colleges use except for AP tests tests taken without its AP class).
