When do colleges start accepting applications for Fall 2010

Just a post to see when you can start to begin the application process for the fall 2010 at certain colleges?

most in august, some in september

Can’t a person start applying as soon as the form (like the Common Application Form) is available?

One school I noticed, Augustana College in Illinois, says you can begin applying as soon as July 1 prior to one’s senior year.

[Augustana College - Apply to Augustana](http://www.augustana.edu/x3231.xml)

No, on common app for example I dont think you can submit the form until after a cetain date - I think it is in September

I’m pretty sure on the Common App that you can submit it anytime after July 1, but they either won’t send it or the college won’t read it until a certain date (usually in August). I could be wrong though.

Just out of curiousity, why would you want to submit your application so early? Is it a personal preference or do you think it may provide some advantage?

If it’s rolling admissions, you’ll get your decision faster. One of my safeties has rolling admissions, so I should have a decision not long after I apply. Unfortunately, I’m not worried about getting in - it’s the financial aid package that matters, and that won’t come until later.

I know most start in August, by September all should be open. I’m a little confuse though, I was just told by my cousin that their sibling has been accepted into a few universities in Michigan, maybe there are programs that can get you in ealier.

^
Never mind my post above ( in case others are wondering about early applying to schools), they only receieved mailing from the universities ( and are unsure if they are acceptance letters etc… I doubt, just unversities with interest).
