When do decisions come out?

I know in the past decisions have come out around mid February, but am hopeful they might come out earlier since they ditched Early Decision. Does anyone know when they might come out this year or a way to receive an answer better than just “before April 1st”? Would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

We know someone that was notified of acceptance already at Cal Poly Pomona…Not sure what that means for SLO applicants.

@ZHB1999 Are they regular or ED, did CPP stop ED too? Do SLO decisions generally come out at the same time as CPP?

CPP never had ED. The RD decisions for Cal Poly SLO have been Mid-February through March. Since they discontinued ED this year, it may be earlier but only admissions will know.

CSU Mentor says CPP is rolling admission so wouldn’t decisions not line up with SLO?

SLO and CPP are different schools with different decision timelines. According to the SLO website, decisions will be out by April 1. Both my son’s applied to SLO and CPP. Both were notified of their acceptances from CPP in January and invited to apply to the Honors college. Older son got his acceptance for SLO on Feb 14 while my younger son got his rejection the 1st week in March from SLO.

For what it’s worth, my son received acceptance to CPP CS two days ago. RD applicant.

I was accepted to SDSU last week and to CPP yesterday. So I’m hoping we won’t have to wait until February for SLO.

@CalPolyQ CPP is rolling notification, not rolling admissions. “Rolling admissions” means that admissions are accepted throughout the year, or over a broad span of it, for whatever is the next term. CPP has a single deadline, like SLO, of Nov. 30, and freshmen are only admitted to fall term.

What CPP has is notification of admission “on a rolling basis,” which means that applicants who are highly desirable with high GPAs and test scores and in the Cal-poly served area may hear of their decision well before other applicants. The deadline for the applicants decision to attend or not is still May 1.

My daughter also received acceptances for Cal Poly Pomona and San Francisco State a few days ago. I think it’s just because she’s high stats for them. I don’t expect a Cal Poly SLO decision for quite some time.

My 2nd son received acceptance for Cal Poly Pomona three days ago. Same day, he received acceptance for SDSU. His CSU GPA is 4.07 and SAT is 1430/1600. He is waiting for SLO.

Cal Poly SLO is my daughter’s first choice but waiting until April 1 will be hard. She just got a really nice merit scholarship from her second choice and in order to secure good housing there she will need to commit before end of Feb. Fingers crossed we won’t have to wait until April 1 (admissions won’t even hint the date will be earlier) for a decision. Good luck everyone!

Are we notified by email or should we just keep checking our admission portal?

Decisions usually show up on the portal first, then you get an email.
