oh, and sorry forgot…yes, she was accepted, and she got the email on 10/27 saying her application was complete and ready for review. All application materials were in the first week of October.
Where in the portal is the acceptance listed? Congrats to you, great holiday present!

My d checked and all it says is when items were received. Is there a different at decisions are written?
My son received the envelope in the mail today indicating he was admitted. His application was complete on Nov. 11th. His portal does not yet indicate his admittance.
Accepted today 12/24 . Application was completed 11/30. College of Health Science for a Medical Laboratory and Diagnostics Interest. Nothing on Portal. Gpa 4.05 weighted , ACT scores 24
My D’s envelope came in today, accepted and admitted into Honors. College of Health Sciences for Medical Diagnostics interest. Application materials completed end of October, OOS applicant.
@Skates76
Do you mind saying what part of the country you live in? I’m on the east coast so just trying to figure out if the admissions office might have sent my letter before it closed for break
@SkyDiamond997 We are in south central PA, only about 64 miles from U of Delaware as the crow (or blue hen) flies. I did not check the envelope for a mailing date.
FINALLY got my letter!!! Accepted to both UD and honors college for Nursing! Now just have to wait for scholarship info cuz I need at least $8K to be able to attend. Please let me know if you want me to post stats for comparison, and thanks so much for all your help!!!
I hope I hear from the honors program soon. I’m a very borderline applicant so I guess that’s why I haven’t heard yet. My HS cumulative GPA isn’t great because of my freshman year, but it improved a lot( 2.3 GPA freshman year, 4.0 sophomore, etc.). My SAT scores are low for the honors program but my SAT II scores are good and my essay was really good. I really hope I hear before March lol.
@rumorsareflying Colleges really like to see upward curves in high school because they indicate independence and responsibilty, so I’d say you have a lot going for you, good luck!
Applied 11/8. Received my acceptance to Honors College of Physics on 12/23/15. Received my merit scholarship letter today. UD Trustee Scholarship of 12K. I am an in-state applicant. 4.29 GPA, Many AP’s, all 5’s on tests, 1400/1600 on SAT (2130 overall) National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Science Honor Society-Multiple ECs, Sports and Study Abroad. Hope that helps!
UD says 8-12 weeks after all application materials are submitted, and next Saturday is the 12 week mark for me…if I don’t hear by then does anyone think it would be a good idea to call the following week? Freaking out! UD is my top and people who applied much later than me have already heard…
@mfrankel1 That stinks. I would give it until the end of next week. My daughter got her acceptance by mail back in November. Since admissions is closed this week. The earliest it would be mailed is Monday. So see what happens then. My oldest D goes to UD and loves it. My other D who got accepted is not going to attend…She got into her top choice Penn State and will be going there. Good luck!!!
My portal shows that my application was complete on October 11 and I have not heard anything back yet. My weighted GPA is 4.0, 1860 SAT (I know not the best), 11 AP classes through out the course of my four years, National Honors Society, French National Honors Society, Math Honors Society, multiple clubs and titles within them, and I’m OOS. I applied with an interest in Medical Laboratory Sciences which I believe is very competitive. I got a letter a littler while ago saying because of the size that applied for this program, I wouldn’t find out until later. I’m just getting very nervous because Delaware is my number one choice and I really want to go here. Anyone else apply here or know of any information that could help ease my nerves?!
@zipbags thank you!!! I will give it until next Saturday and hopefully have good news by then…congrats to your daughter!
@Hurley5 I have a similar GPA (3.8) and also had lower SAT scores (1960) and applied to nursing which is also a competitive program, I applied in October and only heard back yesterday. I didn’t get a letter saying it would take longer, but I’m sure you will hear something soon so
hang in there I wish you all the best!
