When do grades come out?

When do grades come out? I know the last day of finals was on Friday.

January 2nd (according to uportal), but they may come out sooner.

are grades mailed home?

i heard from someone who asked TA its Dec 21. Next thurs.

I have heard December 21st and January 02. Which is it, I'm dying to know.

depends on the class. i bet that FWS is different from our other classes. math 191 grades are ready now, though.

Since the grades are due to registrar by tuesday, the grades will most likely come out on December 21st. It will show up on JTF!

i want my grades..... gah... hate the wait...

i don't... i wish i could wait forever =)

It's definitely January 2. (Go to JTF via uPortal, click on the student tab, and it'll say under announcements)
No, your grades to NOT get mailed home. Your parents do not have a right to see your grades unless you want them to. If you really want a paper copy of your grades you can request that the registrar makes a transcript.

It's VERY unlikely that they will come out on the 2nd...Grades ALWAYS come out earlier than what they tell you. My guess is they'll come out by the 21st, but don't quote me on that.

Eh, last semester I didn't get my grades until the date they gave. But maybe that was a special case...?
In any case, I'm not looking at them before Christmas... I want to have a nice holiday, heh.

I'm dying to find out my grades as well! Haha. I think that they'll come out before Christmas too. Hopefully, they'll come in time!

yeah i guess it is case by case...last semester i got mine the day after grades were to be submitted to the registrar.

What is considered a good GPA for first semester engineers? I don't really have a good idea because in high school we didn't use a 4.0 scale and grades were really inflated.

i would guess like 3.7+?

If you guys email your TA's/professors, you can get some of your grades before they're released. I did this for Math.

I think if you're an engineer, you definitely DO NOT need at least a 3.7 to have a good GPA.

The same could not be said for something like... communication majors.

lol Abnu-that was harsh

I think average GPA for engineers is around a 3.0. So, I would consider anything above that to be good.

University registrar sent out an email saying Dec. 21.
