I found a thread from 2005 in which grades were posted on OASIS on 12/22. Does anyone have more recent info? From blackboard, I know I have 2 As, 1 A-, and I'm waiting for confirmation on a class in which I feel confident I received another A-.

Incidentially, if someone got 2 As and 2 A-s (I'm not familiar with the minus thing), is that "straight As"?

Back in 2005 the fall semester ended earlier and that's why grades were posted sooner. When fall semester started ending in mid-Dec, they gave professors until after the new year to submit final grades due to the holiday season. I would expect grades to be posted on oasis during the first week of 2009.

An "A" counts as a 4.0 and an "A-" counts as a 3.7 towards your GPA. You can call it straight A's or not, but that doesn't really matter when you are in college. Overall GPA is more important. You can use this site to calculate your semester GPA: [url=http://www.back2college.com/gpa.htm]Calculate Your GPA/url

Also, Dean's list if you have a 3.5+ GPA for the semester

Hmm, a friend said that last year they were released, for her at least, on Dec. 24th..... Maybe we can hope for today?
I have heard others give estimates as lame as mid Jan though too.

True, thats what I figure, since Marshall says that its internal transfer decisions will be out by Jan. 12th.
Oh, and I should have mentioned this before... On the grading dept. page, it says professors have 4 working days to submit final grades, and then it takes 5 working days for them to be processed.... So, unless they are posted today, and unless the staff start work again right after Christmas, then early Jan looks like the time when we'll see grades.

Just looked up the dates for exams last year... Finals ended 12/19 for fall 2007 (as opposed to 12/17 this year) , and grades were up 12/24.... they are slacking this year if they are not up today.

I expect grades to be posted after the Rose Bowl on January 1st, just as last year. Grades seem to come out slower first semester than they do for second semester

on a slight tangent, can anyone tell me what dean's list actually mean? my hs didn't have anything like that, is it basically saying "good job, here is a certificate"? also do honors classes mean anything other than being harder?

I don't know about the honors classes (I imagine it varies based on department/school), but the Deans' list means you get a certificate and your name in the Daily Trojan. That's about it. You can also write it on a resume.

damn, just emailed my math professor because i can't see any possible way for me to not get an A in that class and i got an A-. it is the difference between 3.55 gpa and 3.46, so i feel it is definitely worth asking about.

Hm... I see that I did enough to bump up my overall GPA to what I aimed for (which is great :)), but I don't see the actual transcript for the semester. I tried looking everywhere (Completed Course Summary, Grade Report, and even both versions of the STARS Report), but couldn't find it. Maybe there's a delay on that for some people?

I don't have my grades posted at STARS, grade report. But I have them in my completed course summary. Now I am just waiting for the email from degree process that I get my degree or just for my STARS REPORT shows that I completed my degree

You can calculate your GPA by looking at the grades. It will take a bit for everything else to update. If you can't find your individual grades, scroll down to the bottom of the completed course summary.
