Does it take long for Yale to send an e-mail confirming that an application is received?
All the other schools I applied to sent me e-mails except for Yale and Dartmouth, so I'm a bit worried.

Another question, I logged on to an admissions website to check my status, and it said that the college had not received my recommendation letters and school report yet. My school AND the post office assured me that they were sent and received. Are colleges too busy to update an applicant's status right away or am I screwed? Should I contact the college? Please help T.T

On U of Washington's applicant's website, it says that due to high volume during peak times to please allow 2 weeks for the receipt of doc's to show up. This is probably true for a lot of schools. Yale and Dartmouth get as many apps as a large state school, so I'd give it a few weeks. But I'm sure if you call, they'd be happy to manually check to make sure that your doc's are there. My D's teacher rec's went out well before her apps, and she actually called Colgate to see what they did with things that came ahead of the app. They were so nice, and even explained exactly how their filing system worked, as well as assured her that they were indeed there. So call, and put your mind at ease!
