I got deferred EA and i'd like to submit an extra rec and essay along with their little form. Is it better that I send all of them together in late Feb right before the deadline or should I send the rec and the essay now, and wait til late February to send the optional form? Will they even acknowledge the additional essay and rec?

Let me see that buuuuuuuump. (Cisco style) Baby, that buh buh bum bum bump. Seriously though guys, i kinda have to know this by today or tomorrow in case they want that stuff by Jan 1.

Does the form say you can submit a rec or an essay along with it, or is this just something you are sending and hoping they will read? I don't see why they would want stuff by January 1 unless they gave you some sort of deadline that day.

Well, it says that additional forms of support are "rarely helpful" and that they ask i limit my stuff to the original forms. Does this mean they are gonna be ****ed at me if i send them additional stuff? I think my additional form WOULD be helpful because i left out a pretty big part on my regular app. It doesnt say due by jan 1 though. what should i do????

But the rec and essay are part of the original forms, so you should be fine. Just include a note with something like "please replace my Form 2 originally submitted with this one included, and please replace my second teacher recommendation with this one, as this teacher knows me much better."

What is the "late feb" deadline?

Thanks turtle. I think i could do that with the recommendation, but I'm not sure about the essay, because i dont want them to replace my original, because the essay i was going to add is better than my original, but didn't fit the topic very well. Also, the "late feb" was when i was going to send my update form which is due March 1st.

Okay, if the update forms is due March 1st, then just send everything together sometime before that date.

For your essay, I would send the essay with a note, saying it is meant to supplement the rest of your application, and if they will only read one long essay, then they should read ____ (say which one you'd prefer).

Great idea turtle! You rock my sox off!

what's up everyone? i got deferred from stanford too and i seem to have misplaced my forms..does anyone know where i can get the forms they sent with the deferral notice?
