When do i start the USAFA process/ My chances?

<p>Hey I’m currently a sophomore and am confused about when to start everything relating to the application process of the Air Force Academy. I know i want to go to the summer seminar and i know i want to get a good start on the general application process as well. Could anyone please help me? When to contact congressman? when to fill out questionnaire? … just everything in general please.</p>

<p>Also what are my chances.</p>

<p>-I am an honors student who takes almost all IB, AP, and honors classes
-4.0 GPA
-Ranked #1 at best high school in MN
-I will be head captain of Cross Country junior and senior year
-I will be Head captain of Track senior year
-Excellent physical condition
-Volunteer regularly at local hospice
-Will be part on NHS next year
-Been playing the piano for 5 years and counting
-Student Council member
-2nd degree black belt in karate</p>

<p>Applying to summer seminar in December/January of your junior year serves as the start of the application process. Contact your members of congress as soon as you get back from summer seminar (thinking positive), complete the DoDMERB exam before the start your senior year, and complete the remainder of your application and CFA by October. I’m in the camp that if you are completing everything late in the process (January/Feb of your senior year) you’re doing it the “hard way.” Your application to summer seminar will also initiate a call from your ALO. At some point you’ll have a formal interview so dress smart.</p>
