Haha...okay, I get it now. I forgot that the process of mailing things out involves stuffing envelopes. Kind of funny, because my answer to the "daily ritual" question was how I like checking the post >_>

Next week is better than in two weeks though...aah!

what did they mean by "mailed out today" Lisa22?
like every single piece of mail is in a box on its way to the post office or they're still stuffing and labeling?
and i always wondered if barnard does the time delay thing. like they send the farthest letters first, like international and cali, and get progressively closer until they reach nyc...

I imagine they were, indeed, all mailed out today. It seems about right, timing wise.

And, in the past, they have all gone out together, I believe. However, I think internationals get e-mail notification of admittance, often before in-country students get theirs by mail (express mail, as I recall). And the ones farther away from NYC have heard later than those in or near there, as you would expect.

I will be awaiting along with all you incredible ladies to hear about the results...take heart! It will all work out great as you are all amazing!

I was accepted Early Decision. I live very closeby (long island) and I got my letter in a priority mail package the day after they mailed them out. Some of you might find out tomorrow! Good luck!

Jen, you probably will receive yours after some but before others. Hang in there!

We live in GA, and I think my d received hers on the Tuesday after they were mailed on Friday. I think if you are in a more rural area as opposed to a larger metro area, they might come a bit later. That is, if they are using the same method of delivery that they used in 2005.

I just checked last years' admissions thread and it looks like those that were accepted were able to access the admitted student's portion of Barnard's website even before they received their official letter. Also, those that were waitlisted got an e-mail. This all started happening around the 28th of March, I believe.

Things could be done differently this year, however, so please don't panic if they don't play out that way!

i am not sure how you guys are dealing with waiting for the letter to arrive, but I am having a pretty nightmarish one lol i literally had a nightmare about not getting in, Barnard is a reach for me so fingers crossed. Good Luck Guys!

p.s. i just checked mi mail and nada although i was not expecting it, i live in north nj
