I applied before the scholarship deadline, although I doubt I'll be receiving one. Anyway, since rejections are of the last bunch in April, is there any chance that those not receiving Presidential/Trustee receive anything in early March?

I would think so :)

oh yeah, if i remember correctly, last year they were handing out letters of admission all throughout march and the last week of april.

you have to remember, at that point, it's all they can do to just get all those acceptance letters out the front door, so it takes a huge amount of time.

^ I think you mean the first week of April ;)

If it's the same as last year, the next wave should be first week of March. Some of the third wave acceptees were Dean's/Associate's Scholarship recepients.

oh oops, that's what i get for not proof reading ...

btw, just talked to my suitemate who works in topping, apparently they've just mailed the first batch

First batch? As in first batch on non-scholarship acceptances?

Well I just got notified that I will not be receiving the Trustee and Presidential scholarships but am being considered for other scholarships. They said I will be notified of a decision by late March early April.

^^ i got that too

***...I haven't gotten that yet...

I just got that letter in the mail today. It is dated on the 12th.

if you got that mail, does that mean you have less chance/???

i mean, I heard that USC mails the acceptees early March and the letter says that I will be notified late march-early April...

i got that too, but it said i received deans as well.

oh crude.. i've got nothing so far...

What does it mean if we haven't received that particular letter? Or is the mail just being slow and drawing my hopes out way too far? :)

Also, anyone got any word of the average time the film school applicants receive letters? Maybe a guestimation?

soeoak- I think the dates on the letter are just estimations. They're just the latest dates that anyone could possibly receive anything from USC.

Does everyone who applied before the Dec 10 scholarship deadline get a letter around this time (mid-Feb) -- stating whether they are/aren't being considered for a scholarship?

I've gotten nothing thus far aside from the application has been received confirmation, and I applied before the scholarship deadline. sigh...

Hang in there everyone.

My son got that letter last year about this time and then the first week in March he got his acceptance package and Financial aid package. USC is very generous, even without a scholarship, in meeting EFC.

As a NMF he later received the presidential scholarship but the first overall aid package was not much different even without the scholarship.

The waiting is the worst part. =/
