When do they notify us when decisions will be posted?

I know a few of the other Ivy League schools have stated when they're posting/e-mailing decisions, and I was wondering when we might hear something similiar. And exactly how do they inform us that "decisions will be posted on such and such at a time of such and such p.m?" Through e-mail? Through an update to our application status on the Student Information System? It's such a little thing, but frankly I'm a bit sick of telling people "well technically the notification date is the 15th, but I might hear around the 8th, or the 11th, or the..." You get my drift.

I got an email today from the admissions office saying that the decision is coming by mail on Dec. 7 and electronically on Dec 8 after 3 pm. Good luck!

scary! scary!

i got the same email. i cant wait four days.

Yeah, its official .... its coming out online on 8th ....

"This is just a brief note to inform you that we will be mailing our admissions decision letters via regular mail on Thursday, December 7. Also, an electronic version of your decision letter will be posted online to the Dartmouth Student Information System after 3 pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday, December 8. The online decision letter will be available until December 15. "

You guys are so lucky that you are finding out this week!

Ahhhh so jealous on the Yale board....

Good luck guys! You guys not only get to find out earlier than most other colleges.. but at 3 in the afternoon!!

Duke-wannabes have to wait an extra six days...

Wow lucky DmouthEDers! Good luck to all of you on your decisions! I'll be rejoicing or frowning with you in the Spring.

What a difference a year makes. I just picked up my DS '10 today from the airport. Fall term is finished and he is HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY to be at Dartmouth. But one year ago this month he was SAD, MAD, and more SAD when his deferral letter arrived from Princeton. Dartmouth was a mere glimmer on his radar screen last December and yet that's where he chose to go last spring (after Dimensions) and it's been a great experience.

So, my words of wisdom to all of you waiting for your decision, is that no matter what happens, IT WILL WORK OUT. You will end up at the right place and you will love it whether it is Dartmouth or another school. And all of this agony will seem like a distant memory when you return from your first term/semester of college.

Good luck!

good luck guys! (from the princeton board)

I second that! Good luck from the Princeton board!!! =)
