When do they release?

anybody know when conn comes out?

Edit: haha sorry didn't read the topic below this..
so has anyone HEARD?

Yes! (Sort of?) Obviously the ED applicants HAVE heard, but check your email! I’ve had a few friends on FB ( 3 I met at explore weekend) and people here mention they got invites to the accepted students weekends, with the note that their official desicions will be in the mail.
Word is the subject title is: “Great News from Connecticut College.” (Quite direct!)

I suspect the hardcopies of acceptances/denials will be in everyone’s hot little hands by friday or saturday, but may extend out to the beginning of next week if you live further away from CT.

Thanks for the reply! lol I didn’t get that email yet, oh well. be looking forward to checking my mail then :)

My daughter received the email on Tuesday. She was invited to the class of 2014 and to the student weekend in April. (10-12)
Good luck to everybody waiting for news.

Confusion. On another thread it mentioned this email with an invitation to an accepted students day and it appeared that maybe it was sent only to multicultural students. Did anyone else receive this acceptance email that is not a multicultural student?

@mimicon Congrats to the both of you. Check out the other thread, I linked to the FB group I started for 2014. Who knows, your gal may be my roomie later this year!

Boiledegg: You may be right. EDI/EDII students all have the dates already, and the only people I have spoken to who I know got emails are URMs. The conn FB page says that international students will recieve info by email on the 26th, and everything will be mailed this friday (confirmed.)

URM? Kindly decipher for a novice. My daughter applied RD, is not a minority; she has received no such e-mail. Mucho thanks in advance.

URM=Under represented minority

Urms are under-represented minorities (blacks, hispanics, etc) and Conn may have also sent the email to first-gen students as well. It’s only a guess, that those students got their emails first. Connecticut doesn’t practice affirmative action in admissions, but does have about 75% white students (at least) and is trying to recruit minority applicants.

HOWEVER, I run the 2014 group page (just for kicks, I started it. I didn’t get “chosen” or anything.) and I’ve gotten a few new members sporradically, and I don’t think all of them were minorities. It’s an odd guess; and I honestly have no idea how those emails were sent out. I could just as easily say only people whose last names were in the second half of the alphabet got those emails “r, v, w, l” are those who I know got in. :wink:

Regardless, you’ll know very soon. March 26th is when it all goes out.

Hmm… well our last name starts with an “S”, so – we shall see, but thanks to both of you for the info :)

No problem. :D

Well, to add to the confusion, my son is an URM but we are overseas and he hasn’t received anything. It’s already the 26th for us but, of course, he has to wait to see if anything pops up in his email on the morning of our 27th. Kind of stressful.

They have just sent email…I got rejected
Damn :D

D just got email with link to decision letter: accepted!

I would like an email, too! THX

If anyone who gets in is a facebooker, pm me, you/your kid should join the 2014 group. :slight_smile: All of us ED kids would love to have you, and we’re open to discussions about Conn. I can’t make anyone’s emails come though P: I’m an incoming student myself. xD;
