Although their application deadline is November 30th, they say they allow SAT test scores from December to be used with the application. That leaves the question of when they actually begin reviewing the pool of applicants? Around January 1st?

However, I'd think for UCLA that might be too late, as they're the college that receives the most applications in the country each year, numbering around 50 thousand.

Does anyone know when they begin reviewing?

I believe they start reviewing applications when they arrive. However, they do not make decisions until January, last I recall.

It depends. I would think they sort it out to 2 piles: those applications that are waiting for SAT scores and those that don't. They will work on the applications that don't need to wait for SAT scores. For UCLA/UCB they have roughly 50,000 applicants, it does not make sense to read everything last minute.

99cents, do you know for sure that they do this 2 pile sorting type of thing? Or is that your guess. It sounds like a logical guess if so...I hope that's how they do it; I'm retaking in December.
