<p>As the title says, when do we accept financial aid for UCSD?</p>

<p>I called customer service the other day… the said around July? But I am not completely sure since the lady sounded unsure. </p>
<p>I also have a question, we you eligible for the UC Blue & Gold? I was and it said </p>
<p>" You appear to be UC Blue & Gold eligible based upon the income and residency information provided on your FAFSA. This preliminary award notice indicates that your Blue & Gold eligibility is being met with the grant/scholarship awards on this notice which will cover your UC Systemwide fees, currently estimated to be $11,124 " </p>
<p>But on my financial box, there’s no "UC Blue & Gold " . I mean, the $11,124 is the exact number as my Cal Grant A … so are they matching Cal Grant’s money?</p>
<p>UC blue and gold just means that all of your tuition are going to be paid for you through financial aid. So that message just states that your tuition fees are indeed planned to be met by your projected amount of financial aid.</p>
<p>@hellojadey: you are in the exact same situation as I am. After I have spent a lot of time to find out the most reasonable interpretation of this preliminary award notification page, I have decisively concluded that our tuition will be nonetheless covered by the Blue & Gold even if we recieve no Cal Grant later. In other words, we are safe, so don’t mind the Blue & Gold not being displayed on where you see Cal Grant for now, for the word itself indicates virtually nothing. However, I have no idea if we will get more than $11,124, while we are most likely not to get less than that amount. If you have any information that contradicts with mine, please share it with me.</p>
<p>Does anyone know when my prelim award amount will be updated? I was non-resident, but am now considered resident for tuition purposes because my husband is military. Any idea? I’d like to know how much I’ll be responsible for. Thanks.</p>
