i have already been accepted to LSA. when do I find out if I also am offered a merit scholarship, or does the fact that I have not been offered one by now mean that Michigan will not give me one?

i just got a letter today saying that i was selected for the regents merit scholarship

not to be too nosy but what kind of stats did you have to get regents?

31 ACT, 4.0, 3 AP's (all 5's)...not that great. i was actually very suprised.

i really wanted to get regents but i still haven't heard anything. boo, i need some scholarship money haha

congrats though!

krw - Are you in state? Are there any merit scholarships for OOS students?

Yes there are. Regents is not one of them (in any case it's a minor scholarship.)

unless your top tier out of state your probably not going to get money, they give out something like 150 scholarships, its really competitive...

Does anyone know when engineering students find out about merit scholarships? Or has anyone been offered one yet for the class of 2013?

For OOS students, two years ago my D heard about the Michigan Scholar Award (now the Michigan Tradition award) about a week after getting accepted in mid-Dec. The invitation as a semi-finalist for the Shipman didn't come until the end of Jan.

all of these scholarships are automatically considered for accepted applicants correct?
I don't want to lose a potential scholarship because I forgot to fill out some form by the deadline...
