Hi everyone!

I was accepted to my three top choices (georgetown, notre dame, BC honors program), but I have to wait to see who gives me the most money.

I am starting my search now for merit scholarships (i know it's a bit late to start...), but my dad just started my CCS profile, all the FAFSA forms, etc. However, his work does not give W2 forms until about Jan. 25, so he has to send them in February 1. Reading some posts, I saw you have to send it in much earlier than this???? What do we do?

Also, when do you get information back from the colleges about how much money they're offering?

Thanks!!!

For FAFSA you can put estimated numbers in now then go back and correct them when the tax return is filed. A financial aid offer will be made based on the estimated number but no money will be disbursed until actual figures are entered. The estimates should be as accurate as possible but try not to over estimate as it is easier to get the aid offer reduced than increased if all available funds have been depleted. I don't know about profile but assume it is the same. Someone else on CC should be able to answer that. Make sure you submit by your schools priority deadlines for the best chance at the best aid.

Most schools will give you your package in March so you can decide by April 1st where to go.

Each school may put a different package together, even if your EFC is the same.
