When do we find out if we are accepted into MT?

Well, I auditioned Dec. 2 and I live less than an hour from Syracuse, so I don't think that the mail would be held up in getting to me. Oh well. I won't lose sleep over it...it would just be nice to know:)

I auditioned in Nov...no email for me today! I didn't feel great about my audition either. Just have to wait and see.

I am a freshman at SU (early decision last year) and I got an email last year of acceptance. Although I know of people last year who didn't get an email but a snail mail letter.

thats wierd cause some people got both right?

I didn't get any e-mail...or letter...arg...I may have to hit my mailman on top of the head if he comes back one more day without any kind of letter...

I auditioned on December 2nd RD and I haven't heard anything either.
Argh
I'm hoping to hear something very soon!
:/

My S did get an e-mail yesterday with final results, when many others did. However, if I recall correctly, SU said there will be a group that might not hear right away beacuse they are still being reviewed. If you have not heard, then you are still in the running.

-"I am sure no one wants to talk about 'Seclection Sunday'" Dad

Really? When did they say this second group could expect to hear?

Did People Who Got E - Mkails Get Phone Calls Too? ........does Everyone Get Phone Calls?

I know of some students accepted to Syracuse who are not posting on the forum. However, I don't believe they received any phone calls. Rather they first found out through email.

As with any schools, things can differ year to year. When I posted that LAST year, my D received a phone call first, THEN a snail mail later, and no emails....that was just last year. Also, last year the letters about Honors College came in a separate later mailing. Same with the Scholarship offer letter. This year, there seems to be emails. As I said, some people whom I know got accepted in emails did not receive any faculty phone calls, or at least not yet. So, already that is different than my kid's experience last year.

I know students who got acceptance e-mails without a call (yet).

now, is this all for MT? there are only so many Mt majors to know...

has anyone called Syracuse to ask when they are planning on letting everyone else know?

Do You Think Everyone Who Accepted Into Mt Was Informed Already?

I was thinking about e-mailing them, but I keep deciding against it when it comes down to it. I still might, but I just can't make up my mind.

Last year I remember they did it in "batches". They could be doing the same this year.

I would not hesitate to call and ask them if you want.

Good Luck.

Okay, I've been lurking here for a while. First, here's the news: I called Syracuse and yes, they are doing it in batches. In fact, the last one could go out as late as April. The date when you find out is also meaningless according to the woman on the phone. They send out all kinds of decisions every week. So, that's that.

Anyway, about me. I auditioned at Ithaca, Syracuse, UMich, and NYU. Not many, I know... I also applied to Northwestern and Indiana University-Bloomington. So far, I have been rejected from UMich and Ithaca, and accepted to IUB. I have yet to hear from the rest. Dance is my weak spot, and its very important for musical theatre... so it's not going to break my heart if I don't get in... but it would be NICE TO KNOW!!!

Well, I'm in the same boat as all of you! But, at least we know that it doesn't have anything to do with the decision itself... oh and I auditioned January 20 if that means anything.

Bye!! and Good Luck to all!!

Thanks! Nice to know. I'm an Ithaca reject too ;D lol actually I got in to the school, but not the mt program. And I don't think it means anything, because I auditioned Dec. 2ish and there are other people (some in my state, at that) that have heard already.

I called today. If you haven't heard yet, you should know in a week to ten days.

does anyone know if Syracuse has a way to check your admittance status on-line? I couldn't find it..but I mean a way to check for materials and things.
