I am now starting to get acceptances but in order to decide which college i want to go i want to know how much it will cost me to go to each college. As case by case is differnt. I want to know how much aid im going to get. I have done the fafsa and css profile a month ago, if that is relevant. Will I know which college I want to go to until I tell them I want to go here?

Colleges usually declare when each set of accepted applicants will receive a financial aid package for consideration. Also, colleges usually post (and should certainly include in the finaid pkg) the cost of attendance...so that you can begin to compare aid pkgs. I would think that you should begin to see the finaid pkgs start to flow within the next month or so. But, why wait? I'd call and find out.

May 1st is the deadline to make your decision and get your paperwork and deposits to the school of your choice. This is the date colleges have agreed upon so that kids are not going nuts with different deadlines (as we are in the private highschool process). Nearly all colleges unless you applied late via rolling admissions will have their decisions to you at latest by mid April,, with most schools sending stuff out even earlier. Your financial aid packages and COA info will be mailed about that time too.

You can call each school - financial aid office - and ask what the Cost of attendance is - for each school. As far as Financial Aid packages/offers - one just has to wait for them to arrive

Every school publishes an estimated COA on its web site also. Though the basic expenses like tuition are always included, there can be nuances in what else is included, so it is worthwhile to compare them closely.
