I am very eager to find out where and who I will live with

Mid July?

Mid July :) Three weeks away, guys! Woohoo! I think it would be HIGH-larious if any CCers ended up in the same room, suite, and/or entryway, haha.

I'm fidgeting around with excitement over room assignments. I can't wait three weeks!! How am I ever going to pass the time between then?! Goes back to facebook, lurking on CC, talking on AIM, and perusing the course catalog yet again

lol, Phil, it would be so weird if that happened to me! I've been such a huge lurker, the first conversation would go something like this:

Me: Hey! I know who you are! You're majoring in ________ with a certificate in _________ you went to _______ high school and had an SAT score of ______.

Roommate: Who are you again?

lol that's funny

I'm so nervous about room assignments. I want to know my res college! eeee

It's entirely possible... Freshman Week for me was characterized by random people recognizing me off the Princeton2006 Yahoo Message Board. It was quite fun to already be in the loop. It also meant that I met a good variety of people, including some I wouldn't necessarily have sought out because we don't have that much in common.

lol litho :) Did you stay in touch with any of the Yahoo people?

It's a small enough school that "keep in touch" strikes me as a funny phrase to use. In fact, I've mostly forgotten who all was on Yahoo and who wasn't, with the exception of a couple... I mean, it's been three years. My social circle has gone through multiple evolutions since arriving on campus, but I generally at least say hello to anybody I've met before if I run into them around campus, regardless of where I met them... so yes, I guess in that sense I "keep in touch."

Ashley

aaaaaeikkkk - roomate anticipation!!! :D

Ahhh res college anticipation!

^ Exactly. More than finding out my roommates (though that's always fun too), I wanna know if I'll be living in a Gothic paradise, a country club, or...an architecturally questionable space :p

Isn't that when we get ap scores? Oh man...

And freshman seminar info comes out AND the OA information/groupings go out. Things will get cuh-razy come a fortnight. Yay! :D

after I get my room assignment, is it possible for me to change it????
i think i signed up for 2~3 roommates, but i kind of want a single too...
i didn't put down single at first cuz i thought i wouldn't get it ...

They pretty much only let you switch rooms/roomies in cases of absolute and total mayhem. My advice is wait and see, and Don't Panic(TM).

Ashley

According to a frantic '09er who hasn't received any official mail from Princeton for 2 months and felt compelled to call Princeton, we'll definitely get to hear about our housing assignments next week.

:D :D :D

(I hope it's true and they weren't just trying to mollify her or anything)

Well, good luck to all of you with housing, and keep in mind that there really are no bad residential colleges. They all have their pros and cons, and wherever you end up you will have a great year.

YAY! Ok just double checking because I'm bad with this whole "next week" thing....so we should be hearing from them about housing the week of the 11th? or the 18th?

Doesn't matter what we hear from them. Just keep checking the Princeton People search everyday :p
