When do we find out?

questionn… 10chars

by april 1

that is a longggggggggg time!

I got mine March 15th by email, but that was in 2005

for all those who are accepted, when did you apply and when did you hear?

i apply in mid-november, 2 months ago, and i still havent heard?

I applied in January (yes, I know....a little late. But it wasn't due to lack of interest, as American is definitely where I want to go!)

Haven't heard, but I don't expect to hear until late March. Dying in the meantime though...

it is all based on if you applied RD or ED. i applied ED and heard december 15th, RD will hear sometime in march... AMERICAN IS NOT ROLLING ADMISSIONS, thus everyone will hear at the same time.

My son has applied RD and is very interested in AU. I am really surprised that it waits so long to decide. All the other colleges he applied to long since have let him know their decisions. Granted he applied EA to most. But my sense is that most schools provide even RD decisions before American. Perhaps I am wrong. But I wonder how this timing affects decisions. Isn't May 1 the general drop dead decision date for most students? It sure doesn't leave a lot of time for a kid to decide he or she is more comfortable with AU than with other schools to which he is already accepted. It just seems like AU would have a lot of catching up to do.

^^

An adcom at AU told me that midyears are pretty important to them, so maybe they need the extra time to go through the mid year marks before making decisions.

most schools notify by april 1st...

in our experience, we heard ,RD, in the late-middle of March. April 1 is the usual time for all RD applications to schools. **however, if you applied for financial aid, a good sign is hearing MUCH EARLIER from the financial aid dept.!as in, asking for more info, etc.(they wouldn't waste their time if not interested!)

I applied by the regular deadline and i heard today by email. i'm admitted! yay. good luck everyone.

CONGRATS, GinaEC!!! seems they're doing by email now...WAY TO GO!

I applied RD some time around January 1 and I received my notification (admitted) yesterday via email
