How long after you take a final do professors usually notify you of your grade in a class?

How long until you usually have all grades?

I heard of some 48 hour rule?

Obviously it depends on your school.

I get mine usually the day professors have to turn it in, which can be two weeks to a day after my finals.

lol thanks, website says they are due the 20th, but I just wanted to know is it the norm for teachers to email or post student grades sooner?

I get mine next Wednesday.

Teachers can’t post grades publicly with a list of all students, even if the studen’ts names and ID’s aren’t used, and something else is used to identify the students because of FERPA. Few professors will take the time to email each individual student his or her grade.

What’s left is the professor posting your grade to your college’s grade program whatever it is, which means you’ll see it when it’s posted. Most do this when grades are actually due, some do it earlier - but it’s something that we obviously don’t know.

I heard by early January, but I guess some profs put up grades earlier than others?

At my college grades go up by December 28th.

I take my last final next Thursday. Grades are due & posted on December 22nd.
