when do we get scores back?

<p>The fact is that this is the first time it's taken this long. As lockn pointed out, it's because of recent changes. Has nothing to do with essays.</p>

<p>If you guys actually read my previous post, you'll see that this time's longer than usual.</p>

<p>It's taken almost this long before, every time since the three-section change. Before the days of essay scoring, the scores came out rapidly indeed. I appreciate the link</a> quoted above that gives more details about College Board's statement of the schedule and the reasons for the schedule.</p>

<p>I don't pretend to know how fast it was before the days of essay scoring, but I'll assume you're right on that count. However, I was just making the point that this is the longest it has taken yet. A 5 day difference is still a 5 day difference and is quite long for those of us who can't wait to get our scores back.</p>

<p>Plus, we were talking about why this time is taking longer than previous administrations of the same test. We weren't comparing to the tests before the change (most of us aren't even old enough to have taken the 1600 version), so why even bring in the essay?</p>

<p>I was responding mostly to the OP's post, although my quoted text is from post #12. It's hard to wait for news, but it's bearable. After all, pretty nearly everyone waits longer for college admission news.</p>

<p>The web score release date was in fact originally scheduled for Apr. 2; looks like the CB decided they need a few days extra to check that the new web site score-reporting capabilities are working properly.</p>

<p>The typical time is 19 days (17 days in case of holidays); here it will be 24 days, assuming that the Earth continues to rotate under the weight of all the angst :)</p>

<p>Do scores come online right on time or are they typically early? A friend said his came out early, but maybe he was talking about the mailing.</p>
