When do we hear about scholarships?

I applied early action and I didn't get any scholarship notices in the mail with my acceptance. I was wondering if i should expect to get any notices now. I was just wondering because I don't think my family qualifies for much financial aid, so I would need a scholarship to be able to attend.
Have any of you heard of the Knott scholarship, and when those selected find out?
If you could let me know it would be great since I've been stressing out.

they're supposed to be out feb 15th i believe.

Has anyone who applied EA heard about scholarships yet? I thought we were supposed to hear by 2/15, but S has not received anything. He has gotten several notes of congratulations from various members of the administration, but no scholarship info.

my daughter rec'd a Presidential Scholarship offer of $10,000 per year in the mail today. We live in Maryland, so mail probably was sent yesterday

omg omg I need to get a scholarship to be able to attend Loyola.... and i still haven't gotten anything in the mail! Today is the 15th. What will i do???

you should receive something by Tuesday (Mon. is a holiday)--it was postmarked 2/13. Where do you live? I live in suburban Silver Spring which is about 50 minutes from Loyola. Keep us posted--yours will probaby be more $$$$. ;-)

I live about 25 minutes from Loyola, so i would think that it would get to my house earlier.
Well, i guess we'll see....

I'm around Boston and received my letter offering me a $10000 Pres Scholarship today. Wasn't expecting this at all....now I'm thinking twice about Loyola.

D received offer of $25,000/yr. X 4 years if she maintains GPA of 3.0.

worried mom--would you mind divulging your daughter's stats? Catholic high school? SAT scores, GPA, AP courses, Maryland resident? Baltimore diocese resident? MD distinguished scholar? Merit scholar, etc....

Thanks! As I said earlier, my daughter rec'd $10K, but we still feel the tuition is high--who knows what the coming years will bring economically, etc. Lots to think about.

Benito - here they are: UWGPA 4.0, Weighted - 4.08, ACT - 34, National Merit Commended student, AP Calculus AB - 5, 10 honors courses, Currently taking AP Calculus BC and Statistics, Large Public High School in upstate NY, ranked 5th out of 517, Editor in Chief of yearbook, National Honor Scoiety, Math Honor Society, Club Interact

My S also received 25K/yr - he has 3.9 UWGPA, 4.3WGPA, 2320 SAT I, and two SAT IIs, Bio and USH, both 800. National Merit Finalist. He also has very strong recs and ECs - wondering who received full tuition this year?

thanks! Is she planning on going to Loyola? Her ACT score and GPA is impressive!

i guess it's the SAT or ACT scores that increase the amount of merit $$$$. My daughter's score was 1350/2050; GPA 3.9, WGPA 4.42--assoc. ed. of newspaper, 5 APs, MD Merit Scholar, Nat. Hon Soc, Span. Honor Soc.......

My son's SAT scores were 1350/1990, WGPA 4.39, 4 APs, Nat. Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Soccer/Indoor Track/Outdoor Track all 4 years, FBLA, Community Service, All Boys Catholic school in NJ--he got $15,000/year so it can't be the SAT scores. I agree with you that the tuition is high. Loyola is my son's first choice, I'm hoping there's a chance for additional non-need based aid somehow!

I just got my long awaited scholarship letter today- of 25,000 per year. I might be going to loyola next year!

KTeach...your son and my daughter's stats are very close--maybe he got the extra $5000 for coming from a Catholic hs!

got mine 15k a year
3.7 and 2010 sats.

congrats, pancake7!

Are all applicants automaticlly considered for a merit scholarship based on their grades/SAT/ACT scores, or must they file the CSS form to be considered? Thanks.
