When do we hear back from Dartmouth?

<p>I applied ED.. I have gotten no definite answer on when we hear back. I have heard Dec. 8th online, Dec. 13th online, Dec. 15th online, or a letter sent by December 15th. Anyone know for sure?</p>

<p>Last year it was Dec. 10; I think Bartle is going by official policy but honestly it’s earlier than Dec. 15 on the dot for most schools.</p>

<p>Homer is right. Officially it’s December 15th. But they have been known to post decisions before that date.</p>

<p>You’ll get an email a few days before notifying you of exactly what date and time decisions will be posted. Last year was December 10 at 4:00 EST.</p>

<p>do you know when they sent the december 10th 4:00 EST email? like what date did everyone get the email knowing it’ll be the 10th? we’re so close.</p>

<p>Neither S or I remember when he got the email telling the reveal date and time. I’m thinking it was Dec 5 for Dec 10 4pm. S said it was AFTER other colleges announced/emailed their reveal dates which, in his classmate’s cases, were after Dartmouth’s.</p>

<p>To summarize in case I’ve confused: Dartmouth emailed later, but revealed sooner.</p>

<p>I’m hopeful it will be the tenth again this year, esp since that’s the date duke and cornell are doing and the dartmouth did it last year</p>

<p>so i’m unclear on this… do they send your actual admissions decision in an email? or do they send a notification email saying that the decision will be posted?</p>

<p>also, do they post on the same place that you check whether your app is complete?</p>

<p>They send an email with a link to check your decision. Before that, however, they send an email when you will receive the email with the line. confusing… right?</p>

<p>no they send you an email when they’ve received your app that contains a username and password…then they send you an email a few days before when they release decisions and then you check on the dartmouth student banner…your decision doesn’t come in an email</p>

<p>Now that notification emails have been sent for the date, I think this deserves a bump. Dec 8th, hot damn, thats even earlier than last year. </p>

<p>Does anyone know if there are any steps to take after getting the email?</p>

<p>Just as a tip to you guys, I’d check your banner a bit earlier than 4PM EST. The system will probably get clogged at that point and be slow/unresponsive. Plus my experience has been they post it a bit before then anyways. Well that or do the conservative thing and wait til about 5… but who does that, right? lol</p>

<p>Are you guys finding out on the 8th now? My twin applied ED to Dartmouth and hasn’t mentioned anything. I applied to Penn and I guess I’ll have to wait a few days longer than she will for her decision! </p>
