when do we pick classes?

I haven't really been on top of things lately so I was just wondering... when do we pick classes? Do we pick it during our orientation?

Yes...you're finalize your schedule on campus during the add/drop period

pay attention to your orientation agenda for your school/major...

the agenda will list optional and required activities...

dont skip some of these just b/c your floormates are going out somewhere...oh and do wake up for the early morning ones!!!

students in engineering are assigned classes. You can view your schedule I think in the middle of august (like a week before orientation). And you can always change stuff using add/drop

If you are in Arts and Sciences they make you take a sheet and travel around campus getting signatures for the classes you choose. Its really stupid but I guess its good for introducing you to some professors and the campus. 2nd semester, you get to use Peoplesoft. Its the new software to do online enrollment. Its pretty good. You freshman should be happy you didn't have to use the old system it sucked. Imagine having to wake up at 6:30 am (which everyone has to) and everyone in your class logging on at the same time, fighting for classes. You still have to do this with peoplesoft but its a little better.

Wow, Cuapplecider9, that does sound pretty annoying. What do you mean by it is a little better with peoplesoft though? Are we still going to be fighting for classes?

yes you will...but it used to be where you would be fighting one class at a time by re-entering the class/section # each time to see if you could add the class...

i think the process is now more automated...with an automated fight occuring by using queueing systems...

Oh man...I developed some serious class # typing skills as a result of CoursEnroll.

well as we both know it was the browser freezing so you couldnt input **** that really screwed things up!

^^oh yeah, that too!

Heh, couldn't you have copied all the numbers into a word document beforehand, and then copy/paste into the browser once the "class fight" starts? That way you don't have to type them in.

well...I perfected my skills so much after the 1st time around..that it was faster for me to type the number :-)

But...nothing could take care of those browser freezes. Honestly...the only time this all mattered when was I attempted to register for wines...hehe
