As stated in the thread title, when have past applicants heard back from William and Mary? I know the website says early December, but I was wondering if there is any date they are typically sent out on?

Here's an ED thread from last year: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-william-mary/423905-ed-letters.html

Looks like the first letters were received in VA on December 1st. You can see the geographic progression if you read the thread. My d in NY received hers on 12/3 last year. Good luck!

dang, when it said we find out BY december first, i was kind of entertaining this fool's hope that we might find out before then... but after reading that thread i guess that is not the case. :(

oh well. i can wait three more weeks... and i'm instate so hopefully i will get the letter pretty quickly, whatever it may be.

you might get it early... if I had to bet, I would bet that they will probably be mailed before thanksgiving, as the admissions staff will probably be attending family gatherings, like most other people.

last year there was a full week after thanksgiving, so they might've done some last minute decisions then.

Oh goodness gracious, Im soo nervous!

I've never wanted something so much in my entire life.

I know exactly what you mean baconkabob00!

From your stats Charlie, You look like you'll get accepted with no problem :)

thanks baconkabob00. I also wish you the best of luck getting into William and Mary!

yes, good luck everybody...

just think... we will almost certainly know if we got in in THREE WEEKS.

starts hyperventilating

2 more weeks!!!

if soccerguy315 is right, we might even find out before then!!

i hope so....

ED are mailed on dec. 1 Spring Transfer is mailed on Dec. 5...

FYI... There were 1000 ED applications and 200 transfers.

All application were read by Friday last week and started being reviewed by the committee this week.

Good luck to you all, I hope to see you there

shmelke, where did you find the numbers for ED applicants? If your numbers are right then there has been a significant increase in ED applicants this year.

The ED applications last year were in the 900's, not a huge increase. Everyone from my school last year (in NOVA) got their letters on the 1st- so hopefully they will be mailed before then! I am reallly hoping to hear even sooner! Good luck everyone!

oh my. Thats ALOT of applicants. :(

^actually, it's not that many... i remember my friend was telling me that a school she applied to early decision gets about 5000 ED applicants every year (NYU, i think...) but they don't find out till the 15th... she is so jealous of me, and isn't afraid to say so

(but what can i say w&m is just awesome like that)

1 more week!!!

six more days!! i am freaking out, especially since i'm leaving on the 3rd... i hope i get it before then!! i don't want to go a week knowing a letter (or hopefully an envelope) could be sitting in my mailbox, waiting....

i just got an email that said they didnt receive my ED agreement. Ah! im freaking out. now im even more stressed than I was earlier... Im going to fax it tomorrow. im hoping that might possibly mean that I am accepted, because they said that they can not give me a decision without it, and if I were rejected or deferred the agreement wouldn't really matter all... however this is just wishful thinking... haha :(

it also said that they would be mailed out in early December... hopefully early meaning the 1st.

7 days!!

^ooh, that sucks... i really hope it all works out for you!! :(

and i believe i read somewhere that we would recieve the letters by december first... so it may even be less than a week!!!
