i also got in!! i had emailed the admissions person that my counselor said had read my application. i emailed her about two weeks ago and provided updates and she wrote back a nice note..then she called yesterday to ask if I was still interested and then today she emailed me to say I’ve been accepted!! it was CAS

hi, i also got watilisted. i was just wondering, where can i find out the contact information for my regional rep. I live in Canada.

hey anyone off form Wharton or SEAs?

I’m hoping that they’re shortlisting candidates off the waitlist through schools, CAS being first. Because I am an applicant of Wharton :(

This is nerve-wrecking huh?

true. Why does Saturday and Sunday have to come before Monday?

hankypanky- same deal, I’m waiting on SEAS… hopefully their yield sucked…

hankypanky–i’m also waitlisted at Wharton and I was thinking/hoping that the admissions office is logically going through all their CAS kids first, and then their Wharton, SEAS, etc. Perhaps they only deliberated on the CAS kids last week, and starting Monday they’ll start on Wharton (the second biggest school)? Do we know for sure Wharton is going to the wait list?

Hey guys, I’m keeping positive! Either way, I don’t think they’ll be able to review everyone’s application in one working day, so I guess it’s going to be a tedious longggggg process, nerve-wrecking as it already is, prepare for more nail-biting moments ahhh!

A previous comment here mentioned that successful or not, all candidates will be notified of their status?

smustehsan – I KNOW! It’s crazy right?

Slim2None – fingers crossed

Chilon – I’m pretty sure they’ll pull off at least a couple from the waitlist. I think the waitlist pull for Wharton is slightly smaller? Judging by the ratio of students in some other thread I read.

My son heard on Friday afternoon - he got into SEAS.

There goes our “one-school-at-a-time” theory. :

do you think it’s safe to say that if you didn’t get a call on fri, your prob not in?

No. Some of the people they take from the waitlist won’t go, and they’ll move back to the list until the class is full.

no but i mean in the first round of decisions, we’re prob not in?

so, i think i’m just going to go on as if that was a ■■■■■ and pretend i still have a decent shot for SEAS… 4 posts?

well, after not getting a call on friday, i’ve pretty much abandoned all hope.

Well no one on CC who applied to Wharton has heard anything yet, right?

I’m not giving up just yet… :/

Amen, flutterfly. I’m going to call the admissions office tomorrow and try and figure this whole thing out. I LOVE WHARTONNNNNN!!!

I agree with hankypanky - I seriously doubt they called all 90 people on Friday. I’m hoping they still have plenty of applications to go through and calls to make this week.

This is very nerve-wracking…Every time the phone rings at our house I start getting a little nervous, wondering if it could be them…

Chilon – Please update first-hand information from the admissions committee here! We’d love to know what’s going on in Wharton.

of course! i’m going to harrass, er, ask them during lunch if they’re taking kids off the wait list at all 4 schools and if they’ve already notified the first round. fingers crossed everyone!
