I was told that for credit for GOV 310L, we need to not only have a good AP score, but also do well on the TX government test? I just got back from orientation, and this test wasn't mentioned once by anyone... Does anyone know when I take this test?

I can ask when I go tomorrow, but I think you take the test in September or something.

You could have signed up to take the Texas govt test when you signed up for orientation. I took mine on the second? day of orientation last year. Anyways, you can still sign up to take it at the beginning of the semester like any of the other placement exams. It’s a joke though. I don’t think they even graded it. As long as you take it and got at least the required score on the AP gov exam, then you’ll get the credit.

They only offered foreign language exams at orientation this year, so I guess our only chance to take it is later in the year.

azn099-Will they give us more information of when these placement tests are offered or do we need to look that up on our own? Also, everybody says it’s easy but I don’t know a thing about Texas government…what kinds of questions were on the test?

You can sign up for any placement test here.

To be honest, I don’t really remember what was on the test. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I knew next to nothing on the placement test and still got credit for my 5 on the AP exam.
