When do you get your UCI email address

<p>Under 'Things for you to do,' on MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI, it says that you can activate your UCInetID starting June 20, 2006. You need to activate that in order to activate your UCI email.</p>

<p>Think of it as a Myspace reserved only for college students (including some alumni and faculty) to the point that people can only join if they have e-mail addresses from their respective institutions.</p>

<p>High school kids can have a facebook, but they must be invited by a college friend. Each college student who joins gets to invite 10 friends. UCD stundents get their email accounts right upon signing their SIR. My D set up her college facebook yesterday. (she already had one as a high school student) Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with your high school friends after you graduate.</p>
