When do you go to bed?

usually around 12-1, But my math class at the college doesnt start until 10:30 which is good.. but I get out of my high school classes at 630 every day.

The earliest I will ever get to bed is 10:30 and it's not because I might not have a lot of studying or work to do that day but it's because I waste a lot of time so if I sleep early, I feel like I could be doing other stuff.

But generally:

On days before I have 1 test: 11:30-1:30 a.m
On days before I have multiple tests: 12:00-2:30 a.m
On days before I have major projects or essays I saved until the last day: 12:30-5:00 a.m

I wake up at 6:02 (don't ask why I add the extra 2 minutes), but sometimes I'll hit the snooze.

I'll be honest here, I have never pulled a true all-nighter. Back in freshman year, I had this one project that I was working on until 3 a.m. After finishing it, I had more math homework to do so I went to bed until 5:00 and finished up whatever was left.

And last year, junior year, I had a few nights where I slept at 3:30-4:00. One because I had 10 AP Bio Essays to write and I saved them until the last day before Winter break. So that was fun. Typing those bastards up until 4:00. And then I had a 10 page English essay one time that kept me up until 4:00. And the only reason I finished it was because I changed the size of all the periods to 13, instead of 12 and it extended my paper.

But the WORST of them all was our Final AP Bio project. We had to do a video project and do a 10 page essay as our Final. He gave us 2 weeks to do it. And honestly, my group actually planned out our days. But the problem was that I was doing it with 2 people who had no idea what we were doing so I got stuck doing it all myself practically. It was on the Immune system and AIDS. It took us 3 days to do the filming and a week to do the essay.

But on the last night before it was due, the group came over to my house at 10:00 P.M so that we could put together a power point and make sure we knew what to say. So they said they had to go at like 12:00 and I told them I would finish it myself. Well I started having computer malfunctions at about 2:00 AM and I just about killed myself. I finally finished everything at 5 fricken a.m. I wanted to slaughter my group members the next day b/c they didn't do ANYTHING during the presentation.

But thankfully, due to my awesomeness, I got us a 97 on the paper and a 95 on the video project. woot

weekdays 11:30-2:00, get up 7:45 generally
weekends 12:00-3:00, get up 10-12

I usually pull 1 or 2 all nighters every week, other days, I usually go bed at 3-4 or so, wake up at 6. I get about 2hrs of sleep in bus though. Still sucks since I need about 2 monsters/red bull/other stimulating drink every school day.

BAD IDEA. stop with the energy drinks. I know this kid, he graduated last year, and he was addicted to caffiene. He was such a nice guy before he started guzzling energy drinks, and then last year he was the biggest ***** I've ever met in my life, because he was just desensitized to caffiene; energy drinks didn't work anymore. Nobody wanted to be around him. So, yeah, I'd advise against going the Red Bull route... just my $0.02, though.

Personally, if I have to get up before 8:30, I NEED 8 hours of sleep. So I sleep from 10:30 or 11 until 7. Sometimes 7:30 if I don't need to be at school early. (:

I usually nap from 9 - 1 or 2ish
get up, do hw for about 2 hrs and then back to sleep and wake up at 6-7

Lol I am addicted to caffiene too, but i dont think the drinks affect my personality or anything. I know its bad for my health, but I need it to keep up with my classes. I usually drink monsters more than red bull though.

Whoa how do you guys pull off "sleep at 9, wake up for two hours for hw, go back to sleep, wake up at 6" ?

I can't imagine sleeping 3-4 hour "shifts". 8-9 in a row does me pretty well most nights.

I generally sleep from 11ish to 7 a.m. on school weekdays.
Weekends: 11-3ish to 10am give or take a couple hours.

It's weird...I seem to concentrate better and feel like i have more energy when I get 5-6 hrs of sleep compared to 8.

Yeah, I used to drink energy/caffeine drinks all the time (gave them up). Freshman year I drank 4 redbulls to stay up for a project...couple hours later I vomited them up during xc prac. That was the last time I had a redbull...monsters are pretty tasty though. Also, last year some guy in my Bio class broke out with really bad hives during class (he apparently drank 7 redbulls the previous night).

...never.

jk

I usually go to sleep around 12-1am, though I usually crash as soon as I get home on a regular day and wake up an hour or so later. Then I wake up at 5am to get ready for school. If I have to pull and all-nighter, work on a project late, or I know that I'll be exhausted later, I usually drink a Monster and consume quite a bit of candy so that even if I'm tired I'm still extremely hyper. I used to drink Amp and Red Bull, but I suppose I have become immune to the level of caffeine. Monster keeps me going now.

goal bedtime around 11, actual around 12.
alarm goes off at 6 to be at school at 7 (4 days a week, 1 day is later). i hit the snooze alarm about three times though...major AM chaos in my house.
and i 100% couldn't function without coffee in the morning.

I sleep at about 12:00 or 1:00

I wake up at 5:00 or 6:00

coffee is the wind beneath my wings.

Well during junior year I really wore myself thin and always went to sleep after midnight. For some people that may be a piece of cake, but I found myself coming to school really tired, moody, and I couldn't pay attention in class because I kept falling asleep. Then I guess all the stress made my immune system deteriorate because I got sick every couple of months (and it happened to be during times ofhigh stress-such as a huge debate tournament that I had to miss due to a high fever, during Junior Prom, and during AP testing which was miserable). And my grades fell because I kept missing school due to being sick and debate. And my teachers noticed.

So this year I'm trying to sleep at or before 11 every night.

Moral of the story: Get enough sleep, kids. If you go to bed really late make sure you at least take a nap or something so that you don't get screwed in school.

I just stayed up all night 2 days in a row. I was actually better yesterday, after not sleeping for 48 hours, than today after finally resting for 7ish hours.

if i had a choice, aka little to no homework, i'd go to sleep at 10-11 and i wake up at 6. sometimes, homework takes me all the way to 12. i need 7-8 hrs of sleep, or else i get cranky and usually can't study well the next morning.

on weekends, i sleep 11-12 and usually wake up at 8. why so early for most of you? personally, i hate it when i wake up at 10 and say "oh, man, just wasted 2 hours of my weekend" because weekends go by so fast for me.

Shift schedule. Sleep at 10, wake at 3, HW til 5, sleep til 6. I've been doing this for 6 days (not incl weekends). It works well.

I compensate for getting 6 hours/night sleep on weekdays by sleeping as much as I want on weekends.

For some reason...I stay up later on nights I have less homework...

10:30....to 6:45...

I get around 2-3 hours of sleep a night...

Of course...I don't have to go anywhere all day besides watching Price is right with a friend.....

What a boring life I lead......

I go to sleep around 10:30-11:30. I wake up 6-615.
Pretty normal, i think?

How do you guys survive on weeknights?

I usually go to sleep at 9:30-10:00, later on weekends. On weekdays, I wake up at 5:30.
