<p>It can take a while. My son heard by late January, but it can go until the first week of April.</p>
<p>It's been a while since I have been on the UW site..so hope I am still giving accurate info....
I've had 3 apply here...all OOS. All had apps in by mid November. Two of the three found out the first week of December--speedy turnaround! The other took a lot longer--March? (maybe it was that C in Spanish..)
I don't know if it made a difference, but both parents are UW alum. The two that found out quickly were pretty strong applicants.</p>
<p>I remember a few kids finding out as last as April 10 a few years ago...</p>
<p>It definitely varies, a lot. I found out last year a few days after Jan. 1. However, as others have said, it's rolling, so you may find out as late as mid April. It really depends on how strong of an applicant you are and what order UW reads your app in.</p>

<p>It was a few weeks before the early deadline (so late November sometime). If I remember correctly, you had to apply early for honors. Plus maybe finding out early is always a plus!</p>
<p>S's got in right before Christmas 2 years ago. He applied around mid-November. He applied for Honors separately, in January, got accepted in March.</p>
<p>My D just got an acceptance letter for UW. She applied in early October. Stats are 33 ACT, 3.8 UW/3.9 W, top 10% of class. UW was one of her two safeties, she will be happy to go there is no one else takes her (or so she says). Her other safety as a REAL safety, well below the quality of her application in most every respect one would care to think. We are very glad that UW is in the bag. <p>P.S. We almost tossed the letter in the trash, it was NOT a "thick envelope" but a single pager with the sticker "Congratulations" on the outside.</p>

<p>What date did your apps go into review? It says mine went into review on 11/28, how long for a response?</p>
<p>Mine was complete around mid-Nov., but only the teacher letters of rec for the honors program were missing, so they might have just read my application w/o them. I'd say probably around mid-Jan for you. good luck!</p>

<p>I would reeeally love to have one before Christmas. Best present ever. Seeing as I'll probably end up at UW, if I even get in.</p>
<p>Joli: my regular app was complete by mid-Oct., but my teacher letter of rec wasn't received for the h.p. until mid-Nov. so i don't know if i was a so called "turbo admit" and they just decided to admit me and then re-evaluate me for honors once they got my rec, or what. i have a feeling that's what happened, or else they accepted me in like one week lol.</p>
<p>you might have yours sooner, like before christmas, but mine never said it was going into review, only that the app was "complete, submitted, and received." weird, where does yours say that? is udub your first choice?</p>
