I think they send you an email after 4 weeks, but I'd like some confirmation.

Call and ask.

When my kids sent theirs, we sent them with a post office "delivery confirmation" which we could check online, PLUS inside they put self-addressed stamped envelopes with a note on the back saying University X has received your application materials." We also had the teachers doing the res do that (we gave them the postcards) and the guidance counselor sending the school package.

How long should I wait until I call? I sent my stuff on Oct. 28th.

Anybody with an answer please?

I want to know as well please.

Call NOW! If they didn't arrive you can pay Fedex to overnight the stuff Monday to get there Tuesday the 15th. BTW no mail delivery Nov. 11 (Veterans' Day).

most colleges have a website to check status....a lot say wait two-three weeks before calling about materials.

Wait until around a week after the deadline, to see if you get an email about your app status (I have already, but that's just talking about one particular school, the policies of others may differ greatly). Wait until a good week or two after the application deadline, to allow for delays in the postal service and processing at the college. If you haven't heard anything, give the Admissions Office a shout.
