When do you send ap score reports to colleges?

im so confused as to when we send ap score reports to the colleges of our choice. is it during the application process or after we get into the college of our choice?
thanks!!

Most colleges don’t require that you send them an AP Score Report until after you matriculate.

It depends on the school and your scores. I know NYU just changed their testing policies so you can use AP scores instead of SAT, ACT, and subject tests. But beyond that I’m not sure…

Write down your college code on the AP tests you are taking senior year. You already know which college you are heading to and that way is free.

how about for schools like stanford, upenn, harvard, yale, or like MIT?
does anyone knw about any of their policies for ap reports?
thanks!

^It’s the same.

The common app has a place to self report AP scores. Your transcipt will indicate that you took AP classes. The vast majority of colleges and universities do not factor official AP scores into admissions decisions though many clearly look at the self reported ones.

So yep, when you take your AP tests next spring put the college code for the school you deposited with on the form and they will be sent free. BTW that report will include ALL of your AP scores, not just the ones your took Sr. year.

oh ok. so we self report them first and we send the official scores later.
thanks you for all your help everyone!

hey…so we dont send ap scores till after we get in?? i only sent mine to nyu and usc so far but i was going to do all 13 colleges!
