If you know the stuff already it shouldn't be that bad, right?

nah its just annoying as a time commitment. and if i decide to do mechanical engineering, ill want to get certificates in finance and woody woo (im pretty much set on wanting a business career eventually, but yeah thatll probably change just like with everybody else). ill need all the placement i can get, in order to get that done.

What about Woody-Woo-possibly-econ majors with little or no previous calculus? Would you recommend starting with MAT 101 and then taking MAT 103 to fulfil the QR requirement, or can you take a QR seminar (like the Laptop Orchestra one :) ) and get away with not having to do MAT 103 or any calculus?

MAT 103 is required for Econ majors. If you have ANY calc experience, 103 should be fine.

i don't think it'll be that bad taking intro to micro and macro as a freshman cuz I'll learn muc better at princeton than at my high school :)

Yeah. Like, our class val was in my AP macroecon course, and I'm pretty positive he made a 5 on the test, but he's said he's going to retake macroecon in college anyways (he's a Wharton student at Penn). The way HS teaches econ and the way college teaches econ seem to be pretty different from each other.

the AP econ tests are very easy, true. (i feel dumb getting a 4 on macro)

Pfft, don't. Some of the smartest people in my class (in my opinion) made 4's, so I wouldn't sweat it. You're still a genius, man. You're going to Princeton :D

LoL, phil. Are you trying to make up for not having anything to do by pretending that you are doing stuff?

lol, that's nothing new. He's been doing that for long time, and MUCH MCUH weirder things.

I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in Econ 100/101 then; that's what I'll be taking this year.

I'm taking a page from Anne Shirley and making up half the things that go on in my life. (if you catch that reference, we are in fact kindred spirits  )
