I started at 15.

Got my permit 3 days after my 15th birthday.

Got my license yesterday WOOOHOOO. I’m 16 years old, 3-ish months. I drove to the library for volunteering & to school to get my parking pass for the upcoming school year today. It felt liberating.

Neither of my parents taught me at all, & I took a worthless online driver’s ed class 6 months ago. How I passed, I have no idea.

im learning right now, it’s pretty easy to learn and for the first couple of months it’s pretty fun to drive.

I started learning at 5 3/4 as per the law in Michigan. I took both “segments” before my birthday together with the test. The day of my 16th birthday, after school, I ran to the secretary of state and got my license!

you only have to be 14 to get a permit here…

Got permit at 17, will take test for license in a few weeks (still 17). I could have done this at 16, but I was lazy/busy/didn’t care.

I started driving for real when I got my permit at 15. My mom had let me do some simple stuff before then, but I don’t really count it. I got my license last year.

Whenever I get around to it…

i got my permit when i was 15 1/2.
i get my license this saturday finally ! i’m 17 1/2 now.

Got my permit a few months after 15.5. Got license beginning of this month at 16.5-ish. No car/no insurance=still bumming rides. Feels bad, man. :(

Bumming a ride is better than riding the bus.

What’s wrong with riding the bus?

The bus can’t take you to McDonalds or a guy’s house…

It can take you close and you can walk/bike the additional mileage. :)

How am I gonna get home? Have him drive me? Not smart; I have little self-control.

lolwut. I was talking in general…

I know, I know. Ugh, I need to get a BF soon.

Holy ****, what the “”“”, 36 replies! in an hour, thanks for all of you.

You are freaking awesome, drive carefully

I hope it is okay to not have my license until I graduate college. I can survive HS and college getting rides from others, going on buses/trains, cycling and walking.
My brother has a little silver car, he got it at the start of year when he was 17 (he’s still 17 actually).
