<p>I know that right now, there are a lot of schools not accepting the writing part of the new SAT I, or not weighting it as heavily as the math and verbal. When do you think colleges will start to view it as a legitimate part of the SAT?</p>
<p>It'll take a couple of years, at least. There's no basis for comparison until then. The schools need to observe the students that scored this or that on the Writing section, see if the score corresponds to the quality of the student's language skills, before they can take it into serious consideration.</p>
