<p>Depends on what you want. Some people show up way early and are bored out of their minds, some show up and love every minute of what Berkeley and SF have to offer them without the burden of school and commitments. The halls are somewhat empty, but you can easily get comfortable with your surroundings and meet who is there early. I'd suggest going somewhat early. Many different organizations have workshops, events, and parties of all sorts.</p>
