I got my acceptance letter for Suny Albany a few days back and am now waiting on my letter from Binghamton. When can I expect it to come? I am really anxious as I am a transfer student and housing is difficult to get as a transfer from what I hear, so I would like to start planning asap.

I just called them today and they said that we will know by Late November/December

Late November/December!?!? That is extremely late. How am I supposed to reserve housing with my other schools if I do not get accepted? Housing for transfer students is very limited from my understanding and some schools appy for housing as early as mid november.

I heard this time frame too, and yes it seems very late, good news is i think you will definitely be able to find housing on campus if thats what youre interested in. My friend did and he transfered there last spring. I am a little nervous about getting in …3.39 gpa from suny new paltz and a 4.0 from a random semester at community college. What do you guys think? I heard they are very selective.

Yes, it seems very inconvenient.

I also applied to Stony Brook[got in] and UBuffalo and if I don’t pay my $400+ Tuition, Orientation and Housing Deposits by December 1st then I won’t be able to register for their classes on Orientation Day

So if I don’t get into Binghamton then I risk not going to ANY college. I wonder why Binghamton takes exponentially longer for? Very dicey.

Has anyone heard back from them yet?

No :(

(I applied in early Sept)

I just got my acceptance letter from Binghamton. Anyone transferring and looking for a roommate off campus next semester?

Congratulations, yogi!!

btw- Around when did you apply?
