When does Early Decision come?

When does early decision get received?

My school wants all college things in by december 15th if the college has a Jan 1st deadline....

Now basically my family isnt too affluent, and I dont want to pay $500-800 in applications just to find out a week later I made it into NYU... Christmas vacation screws everything up lol

I do not understand what you are talking about. Are you saying when is the deadline for NYU E.D.? or are you saying when does NYU send out its decision letters? What are you talking about?

He's talking about December 15.
NYU sends the decisions on December 15.

Between Dec 15 th and Jan 1st

Im not going to get it any earlier than Dec 15th, damnit. No way to get back application fee from other colleges I apply to right?

well you can give the school ur stuff without paying. you dont hafta pay until you send in the forms you filled out urself (i.e. form ones). since it takes the school a few days to process and send em out, i suppose if you find out ur in u could stop them from sending it. either way ur not stuck paying money for no good reason.

My school is retarded, and send forms once they got them even if you tell them not to, its a school of 3000+ kids in a *ty district, so we get stuck with 8 incompetant over worked secretaries in charge of all college things, and they * up every time.

If you aren't affluent, why would you bind yourself to 40K a year with ED?

hoo brings up a good point. what actually does happen if you get in ED and cant pay?

NYU gives more financial aid to ED then RD aplicants (only school in country that does that I believe)

Im taking out alot of loans basically though.

If he isn't too affluent, yet applied bindingly to NYU his financial aid package should reflect that, at least in theory.
