<p>You can register for any class that is open after you meet with your advisor at orientation. Classes that are closed are already full and therefore you can't register for them. (ever). All Writing the Essay classes are closed so if you haven't registered for it yet you'll have to take it another semester. Also, you can change your schedule until September but the longer you wait the more likely the class you want will be filled.</p>

<p>Are you sure all the "closed classes" are full? When I started registering on June 7 the WTE class I wanted was closed. After checking on June 17, it was open and I registered for it. The problem with your statement that all WTE classes are closed is that all Stern students are required to take WTE first semester. So what happens if they didn't register for it yet?</p>
