thanks for your replies but that did not answer our question, btw. We want to know IF they tell you whether the decision letter has been SENT...not the decision itself...so we dont waste time waiting for the mail man. :)

As far as I remember, the fact that decision letter has been sent or not doesn't show up online... but next week you can call and ask them if the letter has been sent or not.....

That they have sent the letter shows up at the exact same time that the decision shows up on the page... both after you see it on paper. They are really telling the truth when they say that they want you to see it on paper first. Just wait.

it comes out tomorrow.

what comes out tomorrow??
omg.. this is really making me nervous.. so they are sending the decisions out tmw??

well my friend applied there
and today i was talking to her and she mentioned that she finds about carnegie mellon tomorrow... and somehow she knows its going to be tomorrow because she knows a person who's like involved with carnegie mellon or something.
so don't quote me, but thats what i heard : ) good luck!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
well... even if it comes out tmw.. we don't find out until a couple days later because the mail wont reach us INSTANTLY...

sarahjhansen! What comes out tomorrow? Letters will get posted starting tomorrow? or they had already posted and in the website it will start appearing tomorrow? Is the date same for all the schools-CIT,SCS etc or on different dates?

does anyone know if these dates are the same for musical theatre?

No, you will not see a posting about when a letter was sent. You will start to see admittance letters in mailboxes during the last week of March (decisions posted on your "Where am I..." sites about 3 days after letters are mailed).

Last year letters started arriving about March 25th and went thru April 15th or so. No particular order of mailing....not in alpha order, accepts, then rejects, not by school applied to...nobody ever did seem to figure out what the method was to the batch mailings.

Good luck in calling Admissions for answers - you could call 5 times and get 5 different answers...doesn't seem to be a priority to present a unified response to callers - some of the answers provided last year were direct contradictions to answers provided a day earlier by another person. Keep in mind that whoever answers the phone is most likely NOT one of the decision-makers....more likely a student intern or one of a couple women who appear to have been on Social Security for a decade or more - and who seem more than a little peeved at having to come up with answers in the first place!

My friend just found out that he was accepted. He applied ED2 for tepper and got rejected but just found out that he got accepted to H&SS RD. He's also international. Are they mailing out decisions for second choices earlier?

Congrats to him, sugarcube. I was in the same position, except I applied ED1. I just called CM and realized that my revised essays were never recieved... but I talked to them (and wow they are really friendly) and I'm faxing them over soon. I just hope they didn't send my rejection letter before I get to fax them...

If things go as they have in the past you should start to hear sometime after the 24th. You can find out online 3 days after the letter has been sent. Good luck!

Sugarcube! This International friend of yours who got his letter-is he living in US or abroad? Has letters reached abroad also as it would have taken a much longer time to reach there compared to US?

I asked him and he didn't actually get the letter, he just has a connection that he called and asked.
